Our Moodle migration process – step by step

3. Data migration
   Courses, users, grades and files are migrated. We map user accounts and roles, and migrate completion and grade histories.
4. Quality assurance (QA) & user acceptance testing (UAT)
   We run automated and manual checks and invite admins or a pilot group to verify courses, activities and reports.
5. Go-live & monitoring
   We perform the final cutover during a low-traffic window and monitor the system closely for any issues.
6. Post-migration support & training
   Admin training, plugin checks and 30 days of support to resolve edge cases and optimise performance.

Security, backups & performance

We prioritise data integrity: encrypted transfers, verified backups, and staged rollouts. If you move to cloud hosting, we advise and configure scalable options (AWS, Azure, GCP or Lightsail) for best performance.
